Tea for Two: Brown Transferware

I couldn’t resist this beautiful tea set for two!

Over the weekend my “new” brown transferware tea set came and I’m over the moon excited with it! With the weather getting cooler, I can’t wait to enjoy cooler crisp days and a hot cup of tea.

It’s not everyday you find a vintage matching set for two! I fell in love with this set when I saw it listed on eBay–mainly because of it’s classic transferware design and the fact that it was a whole matching set that included the tea cups, creamer jar, sugar bowl, tray and most importantly, the tea pot.

The tea tray in all it’s stunning detail!

I adore when I see other people style an eclectic mix of tea wares on their tea tables–they always seem to make it work beautifully I might add! Me on the other hand? I much prefer the uniformity of a full set of matching pieces as mixing and matching prints and patterns have never been one of my strengths.

I can see myself using this set on the daily during these autumn months!

I’ll be sure to share a tea time post using this set soon. What are your favorite pieces to use during tea time?
