Vintage Hot Milk Sponge Cake Recipe

This Hot Milk Sponge Cake is a 50 year old recipe that I got from one of my favorite vintage cookbooks–The Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook (1969). It was easy to make and is really delicious! Since gluten doesn’t agree with me, I’m unable to enjoy a full slice however I did take a bite and I feel like this cake is somewhere between angel food (being as though it’s so light) but had the lightly sweetened taste of pound cake.

My family loves it and I will be most definitely making this cake for Christmas in a few weeks.
